Jason Duval
"Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder." Rockstar
- He grew up around grifters and crooks, and did a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens.
- Now he lives in the Keys, working for local drug runners.
- Rockstar says meeting Lucia "could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him".
The tattoo: on his shoulder there's a skull under a parachute, with a banner starting "MARAUD...". It shows up in several of Rockstar's screenshots. In the Ultimate Edition images his custom pistol is engraved Sua Sponte, the US Army Rangers motto, which fits the Army line in his bio.
Lucia Caminos
We first met Lucia in prison, in an orange jumpsuit, in Trailer 1, and saw her walk out in Trailer 2. Rockstar
- Her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.
- Fighting for her family is what landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and "sheer luck" got her out.
- "Only smart moves from here." She's committed to her plan "no matter what it takes".
- "A life with Jason could be her way out."
Her forearm script starts "Life's a...". The rest is hidden under her arm in every official shot.
Jason & Lucia: switching and the relationship

Brian Heder
"Nothing better than a Mudslide at sunset." Rockstar A classic drug runner from the golden age of Keys smuggling. He runs product through his boat yard (Brian's Boat Works & Marina in Trailer 2) with his third wife, Lori.
Rockstar says he "looks like a Leonida beach bum, but moves like a great white shark". He lets Jason live rent-free if he helps with shakedowns and stops by for Lori's sangria. In the gameplay reveal he gives Jason and Lucia a job over dinner, then warns Jason not to go any deeper.
Raul Bautista
"Experience counts." Rockstar A seasoned bank robber, always hunting for talent ready to take risks, though his recklessness raises the stakes with every score. In the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia drive getaway for him, and that's how they end up in his crew. Reported
Boobie Ike
"It's all about heart: the Jack of Hearts." Rockstar A Vice City legend who turned street time into a legitimate empire: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. He's most invested in Only Raw Records, his label with Dre'Quan, and "now they just need a hit". He's also on the cover art.
Dre'Quan Priest
"Only Raw... Records." Rockstar Always more of a hustler than a gangster; breaking into music was the goal even while he was dealing. He signed the Real Dimez, and his days booking acts into Boobie's club "might be numbered".
The Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe & Roxy)
"Viral videos. Viral hooks." Rockstar Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school, turned shaking down local dealers into cash, rap tracks and social media fame. After an early hit with local rapper DWNPLY, they've signed to Only Raw Records, "hoping lightning can strike twice".
Cal Hampton
"What if everything on the internet was true?" Rockstar Jason's friend, and a fellow associate of Brian's. He feels safest at home, snooping on Coast Guard radio with a few beers. "Casual paranoia loves company." Check his shirt in Rockstar's screenshot: aliens.
Still unknown
Rockstar has only revealed these eight. Expect plenty more characters in the full game. We'll add every major one here after launch, without spoilers above the fold.
